The Denver Broncos are gearing up for a throwdown with a Houston Texans opponent that also happens to find itself sitting at 6-5 entering Week 13. The winner of this game could very well make the playoffs, while the loser...
Well, let's not entertain those notions until we must. But suffice to say, the Broncos know they're facing a highly motivated Texans squad this week.

Analysis: Fortunately, the Broncos will have both Browning and Jeudy on Sunday, but Mathis' outlook is up in the air. And against a team with such potent wideouts as the Texans, cornerback depth could be key.
However, Mathis' fall from grace this season has been a mighty one. After beginning the season as the Broncos' starting boundary corner opposite Patrick Surtain II, one lackluster performance after another saw Mathis eventually demoted, with Fabian Moreau capitalizing on his opportunity to start.
Mathis' health status could play into the Broncos' new mission of steadily getting rookie third-rounder Riley Moss more involved on defense. Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has been impressed by Moss over the past two weeks, so this might be a game the Iowa Hawkeye product sees some extended action.

Analysis: The Texans will be without one weapon in Schultz, while Stroud is banged up and so is one of his favorite targets, Dell. Stroud was a full go for all three days of practice this week, but Dell didn't practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday and Friday.
Houston's offensive tackles — Tunsil and Fant — are also nursing various nicks and dings, but they're a full go for Sunday.
