Diamondbacks’ third baseman Josh Rojas went 3-3 in the leadoff spot to power Arizona to an 8-6 win over the Padres.
Rojas had two singles, a double, and two RBIs, which played a large part in the Diamondbacks comeback; they were down 5-1 heading into the sixth inning.
It was a nice bounce back game after Rojas began the season 0-7 at the plate.
The 28-year-old showed off his athleticism with a tremendous slide to avoid the tag and successfully steal home on a double steal.

The Diamondbacks finished off their first road stretch of the season with a 3-3 record. Although it was a split, considering it was against two of the best teams in baseball, the Padres and Dodgers, it was a very promising start for this promising young D-backs team.
"Two series splits against some really good teams in this division, we'll take that."

Unfortunately for Arizona, this schedule will not exactly get much easier anytime soon. The D-backs are looking ahead to a second four-game series against the Dodgers, followed by a three-game series against the Brewers. A remarkable eight of the first 10 Diamondbacks games this season are against the division rival Dodgers.
On the bright side, this challenging first couple of weeks, if Arizona can stay around .500, will give the D-backs some much needed confidence for the rest of the long season.
