In a series of roster moves, the Arizona Diamondbacks have made the decision to place SP Merrill Kelly on the 15-day injured list due to right calf inflammation, alongside several other adjustments.
The #Dbacks recalled RHPs Kevin Ginkel and Justin Martinez from Triple-A Reno, placed RHP Merrill Kelly on the 15-day injured list (right calf inflammation, retroactive June 25), and optioned LHP Joe Mantiply to Reno following Sunday's game.

Merrill Kelly has been one of the D-backs most consistent arms in their starting rotation. Kelly, who has nine wins on the season already, had a legitimate shot at making his first All-Star game this July.
But, along with this injury, the Diamondbacks have also sent down reliever Joe Mantiply, who has struggled since being placed on the IL in May. Over his past two starts, Mantiply has allowed four earned runs in 2.1 innings.
As a result, Arizona has called up pitchers Kevin Ginkel and Justin Martinez.
On one hand, Kevin Ginkel was pretty much lights out for the Diamondbacks before he was optioned to Triple-A less than two weeks ago. Ginkel is currently playing his fifth season in Arizona.
And on the other hand, Justin Martinez is set to make his major league debut for the Diamondbacks sometime this week during their series with the Rays.
Martinez has been part of the D-backs farm system for quite some time, and he will bring some much-needed depth to their bullpen with his 100-mph fastball.
First pitch for Diamondbacks vs. Rays will be tonight at 6:40 with Zac Gallen on the mound.
