What's up yb, it's Boom and I'm back in the Yard. Last game was tough. It was a must win and we weren't able to get it done so our last game is tomorrow against the Sonics. The season has gone by too fast. Seems like just yesterday I was in Hawaii playing preseason games against the Lakers. I don't know what I'm gonna do this summer, I didn't expect to be packing up so early, but I'm sure I will have a lot to share with yall. I know one thing I am going to do, and that's work as hard as possible so that next year this doesn't happen again. Ya digg. I'm not gonna lie to my fans, I hate losing. I play this game to win, and it's even harder when I feel like I wasn't able to help my team do that. For now though, I'm out!

It's too bad the season worked out the way it did. You guys are a playoff team, even if you aren't actually there. If Jack was there those first 7 games, you never know, the fact you guys played as well as you did after that bad start is impressive.

Congrats on a good, HEALTHY, season. Come back hard next year... on the CAVS

You guys had a great season. You proved a lot of doubters wrong by staying healthy. It was a tough conference this year and if it was last year, you'd definitely be in the playoffs. You were right in the mix for the whole season.

well, it is very sad NOT to see the Warriors in the playoffs this year, but you still had a good season. Im sure the team will learn from this experience and grow into a better team for years to come.

Thanks for a great year Baron. It was a fantastic ride. The playoffs just won't be the same this year. No matter all the naysayers and the "what ifs". If it wasn't for the bad games, we wouldn't know how to appreciate the good. I can't wait for next season. Hope that you're back with the pack storming toward the basket again. You did everything you possibly could do. And for that we appreciate your sportmanship and teamwork that you have shown this season. You have been a leader all season and it's no wonder why Nellie chose you as one of the team captains. You have nothing to hold your head down about because you gave it everything you had each and every game. It was an exciting year and I agree with the other posts - you stayed healthy. So, in some ways it was a huge success. I too was hoping beyond hope to be watching some more Warrior Ball. But next season is going to be even better. I know it.

Baron... lifetime Warriors fan and season ticket holder. It sucks that a potential 49 win team does not make the playoffs, but that's the way the West is. Man, this is really tough I'm sad we couldnt make it.
You had an amazing season, and youve really helped Monta develop into a fantastic player. I really hope you stay in Oakland cuz I know you love it here. I still remember when you were first traded and I was at the first game you played in against Detroit. From that point on, you changed the face of this franchise. Keep workin hard Baron, and keep proving everybody wrong............

Baron, you guys deserve a playoff spot more so than the Nuggets. They got lucky. There were some blown calls this season on games that we lost. Not to mention if we had Jack from the first game of the season. The bottom line is, next season is a whole new start. We're guaranteed to make it and we want you to guide the way. You want to win, I want to see the Warriors win, too. You have a great opportunity here. You can be a monster on the court, passing, and setiing up the offense. I personally do not see anyone better, but the Warriors and you have to decide that you are going to do this. That means in my eye playing 34 to 36 minutes a game at an incredibly intense pace because playing 40 some minutes a game no one can. Are you up to being a leader, I think you can. And the Warriors have the tools to surround you with, hope to see both you and Nellie being a super intense team where you are pressuring and pushing the ball for 48 minutes.

  Yeah, BD, what was up with the zero minutes in the second half? I was confused when I watched the Sports Center highlights. Nellie has got to play you in that half if you guys have a chance. I hope all is cool between you and coach. But, in my opinion, that was a bad move on Nelson's part...even if you were having an off night shooting.

Baron you know you guys would contend with any team in the West, unlike the posers Dallas, Houston and Denver. You've proved you can beat anyone on a given night. And you guys would definitely be in the playoffs if refs rewarded the way you guys play. You guys need to get some enforcer in the post, someone to help Biedrins. Someone like Boozer would be great, but someone that fits your style. Maybe a straight up 3-point shooter could help as well. All I know is that without you the team could not win near as many games. Please stay.

Having been a season-ticket holder to the Sixers in the days before my wife and I had children, I had kind of fallen off the NBA bandwagon for several years until I started playing fantasy basketball last year. I had the pleasure of having you on my squad both years, winning the championship last year and playing for it this year, and have regained a whole lot of respect for what you do game in and game out. I have enjoyed watching you play and wish you guys could have made the big show. I understand the hate of losing & respect your determination to improve so the disappointing finish doesn't repeat. Just wanted to let you know that I am a bigger fan now than ever & am glad that I've had the chance to watch you do your stuff on the court for the past 2 years. Stay healthy & come back next year with the same edge you have right now & you can't be beaten.

Baron, those of us who have been fans a long time saw what happened when Nelson traded Mitch Richmond and broke up a team with great chemistry. I hope Chris Mullin remembers that too, because the team never recovered. My personal opinion (which i admit is based on no inside knowledge whatsoever, just what i see happening) is that Nelson gets too egotistical. It seems he is great for up to 2 years then it always falls apart. He decides who he likes or doesn't, and that's it, set in stone forever.
We fans hope to see YOU back next year and many years after. You have brought excitement, energy, camaraderie, teamwork, and character to this team. You interact with the fans and we appreciate that.
Whatever is happening behind the scenes it's you and S Jack and Andris that we want to be Warriors...maybe Mullin will take a chance on some former player with knowledge and heart, the way Dallas took a chance with Avery Johnson. I know you probably can't comment on this but wanted you to know that many of us fans feel this way. If only there was some way we could influence the situation....

Thanks for the season, BD. I can only hope that whatever happened last night and you not playing in the 2nd half doesn't ruin the chemistry and direction the Warriors are going. It will be a long summer for all of us but I'm already looking forward to November '08. All of you need to be commended for having the most successful season in NBA history and not being rewarded for it. Take it easy and have a great off-season.

I had not understood why people liked to watch basketball at one point in my life. After i saw my first entire warriors game with you at PG i felt what people felt wen they say that basketball is exciting and fun to watch. You have been my favorite player to ever watch play this game. You have been the head horse of this team and i wish coach would have played u for the 2nd half because i know u were ready to get out there. One more game left Boom, Im attending UC Davis (1st year) and i hate that i cant watch y'all play all the time. You have a lot of love in the bay Baron, we have gotten better every year uve been here. Dont forget the 0-6 start wit out capt. jack. We'd be in the playoffs for sure had he been there. Stick it out B, The team is only getting better. I would love for you to continue be a part of that.

Baron, you can't leave the Warriors. You have to stay in Oakland and finish what you started. Next year will be much better. Just try to push Mullie to trade for Elton Brand to give us that much needed low-post scorer.

It was a long/short season for us. I do want to prove them wrong. And this post sounds like you're bitter too. What up BD this is hecdosage from Uptown Manhattan. You probably already heard this, but I lost alot of respect for coach Nelson. This is how he rewards his right hand man at the end of the season benching you, thats disrespect to you and "US" the FANS! who have stuck by the warriors throughout the good and the bad.

You're still the man, we know the Warriors wouldn't have gone as far as they have gone the last two years without you. But you not being in at all in the 2nd half did not make sense. Even though you were struggling in the first half. Jackson can put those numbers up in 5 minutes. And you've struggled like that a few times this season but Nellie never took you out.

Baron...great season, even though it comes with absolutely no reward from the league, knowing what we can do out there and how our future is shaping out to be is a decent reward. It's upsetting how Oakland don't get no respect from the NBA...but it's alright...all of us been out here hustling for a minute so I guess we like America's underdog. Monta will never be as good as he is and is getting without you in the back court with him...actually, I don't think any of our players will be as good as they are without you on the court. Take away that and the warriors are doomed for another 10 years.

go for elton brand or a true PF, draft is looking pretty weak outside of the top 3...we just need 1 peice...a strong big man to clog up the lane, i think thats what nelson's plan was in signing old ass webber, just stick him in the middle to clog up the lane! Didn't work out because webber had even less heart than anyone thought.

Anyways, Boom, every moment of the season was exhilirating, just nasty that we not in the playoff's, but the memories from this season and last season have been the bright spot in the Bay Area for almost 10 years, I know you're not satisfied with all the BS snubbing, but gotta stay on the grind. I've seen every Warriors game this year,huge fan. I think it's time for you to go. I'm sick of watching you jack up jumpers and miss layups. You don"t pass the ball like most of the other point guards, when one of your teammates is hot you don't get him the ball like you should. you come down jack up a three or an ill advised jumper. Maybe if you shot a higher percentage it wouldn't be as bad,. but 40%. Come on. I don't mean to be negative but it's Monta's team now.

    All I'm saying is look at the stats,his shooting percentage is 42%. If he was the best player on the team they could go to him in crunch time. Monta is the guy they go to, he gets to the basket, he shoots fifty percent. Those are numbers you can count on. Why do you think Nellie took him out in the Phoenix game. He went with the players he could count on. They took an 11 point second lead with him out of there.

      TDOG, obviously you don't have a true grasp of basketball because if you did, you'd know that 42.6% from the field, for a PG, is pretty good. Think in terms of baseball... someone hitting .350, great - .300, pretty good still. Especially considering the Warriors style of play, and BD being called on to shoulder a great deal of the scoring responsibility from the point position, which is not easy. Running the offense, being called on to score, and then playing such a physical game is going to show itself in the FG%, especially as the season wears on. The only other guard who has more shots is Kobe, at 46%, and he's an off-guard. These are just some things basketball folks understand. Additionally, your comments, to me, look like something you should be saying in your own post. Post an article, dude.

Not to say you would do this, or you don't deserve big money, but I think the key is for the W's to retain you and Monta long-term, and put together the pieces around you guys. I may not know the in's and out's of the business, but I do know that the more flexibility a team has with money, the easier they can build a championship team. The front office needs your influence to bring Monta back, get a true big man, and build a championship team, and it starts with you. I love the Warriors, and I am a big fan of yours, and I trust that you will do the right thing.

Baron - It was a fun, exciting, action packed season. It truly was a great time out all season long. I am amazed by the things you do and look forward to watching you as a Warrior for many years to come. You truly are a Warrior. I remember mid-season when you were so wrapped up you looked like the bionic man, but you did it, you made all 82 games, and you did it with class, style and a swagger. Not trivializing how you feel about the game of basketball or that your season is over, but I encourage you to look at the situation like the glass was half full not half empty.
You could be here... in Miami, a member of the Heat and really being annooyed. Worst record, most team injuries in a season, no playoffs. Could it be any worse?

I haven't feel like this for so long. You guys did a great job bringing baskeball spirits back in the Bay. Baron Davis.....BD...you are my hero. Ever since last spring when you and your amazing teammates made that playoff run and taught people how to believe, I have looked up to you. You are an inspiration on and off the court. Heck, I learned how to shoot a fade away just from watching you play. Thank you for that. I went to three games this season and had a blast every time. (The first was one of the Lakers games... you guys won ;). I am really sorry the season is over. You guys really deserved to play in the post-season. That darn western conference. I really hope you will be back next year. The warriors wouldn't be the same without you.. or Monte, or Biendrins, or Cap'n Jack or anybody else for that matter. One more thought...you know my dentist's son Mark.
