Welcome homeeee! Lol its ya boy BoomDizzle the new Hollywood Boom or now it should be called HollyBoom! I'm a Clipper now and I couldn't be any happier to come home. The sad part is I'm leaving a city that truly made me feel welcomed. My fans and supporters in the bay will always have a place in my heart. Ya digg! I really just had to express how excited I am about being home. But check it, I'm off to dinner. So check back tommorow.. Same time, same channel.. I got something special planned for all my fans! Ill holla!

when Brand signs, either he or you will have to take less $ since the W's offered the max deal to EB. Clips have no bench either since they have to clean caproom now. Both of you will have to go 40 a night to sniff the playoffs. I'm betting you guys dont even make the playoffs. Lakers own LA and always will.. go be a movie star. Hey Boom i dont see you making to many comments on here so I dont know if you even read this. First of all though congrats on that new contract. It is about time you get the respect you deserve and who better than the hometown Clipps. Serioiusly though, what is wrong with the Warriors? They just continue to be boneheads and let players get away. Chris Mullin is an arrogant _ss. HIs hoop game was completely overatted all he could do was knock down spot up jumpers that someone else created for him. You clearly stated that you wanted to remain in the Bay, so all Mully had to do was find a way to make that happen. Just give my man Baron a decent extension with some years on it. Say 5year 65mill. That seems fair. I know this was going to be a tough off season in GS with alot of expiring contracts. I know Monta has to get paid because that boy has some game, but clearly something could have been worked out on GS side. I saw that ridiculous offer to Agent0, Mully you have to be out of your head. How can you offer a garbage PG 100mill, but you cant put something respectable on the table for the player who restored your franchise. BOOM you made the Oracle electrical, that was one of the most exciting teams in NBA history. Dont worry Golden State is once again screwing things up. I saw that desperate attempt for Brand. How can they throw out that kind of offer for a player who doesnt even fit into Nellys system. I sure they will let Monta get away and then things will be realllybe jacked up.The Clippers are the team now. I am following Boom Dizzle over to LA. No more trips from Chicago to Oakland for me. I am going to be staying in Orange County and driving up the coast to the Staples to watch you get a ring. I am no longer GSTATE5 on yardbarker. Iam officially now CLIPPER5. Once again congrats.       I am not saying Baron was out there all by himself, but come on if you watch the Warriors you know he is the backbone of this team. Of course there is some other talent on the roster. Monta is going to be great and Stack Jack finally found a system that he can excell in. Baron is the one who makes that engine go though. Look at the numbers and the things he did in that playoff run. Absolutely unreal on the big stage. Just a reminder where was Monta Ellis in that postseason. The reason I keep saying GS is because I am talkiing bout the front office. Surely you have to realize something is wrong there. Is Gilbert Arenas twice the player as BOOM? Elton and Baron are both the same age and Elton is coming off of an injury, but he is a 100 million guy. Baron was not even asking for that kind of money. Clearly he was not in the Warriors plans. So everybody needs to chill. BOOM is not the one who is unloyal it was the Warriors.

Don't worry about the haters anyway, most of them jumped on the bandwagon once you got here and they'll likely jump off once you start wearing a Clippers jersey. Boom, you do realize if Falk has Brand ask the Clips to match the Warriors offer they can't sign you for more than about 7- 8Mil per year. He has to lose his bird rights and can only sign for 5 years max by opting out which means the Clips can't offer anything close to the Warriors offer if they keep your offer where it is. By the way, Brand is with Falk now from what I heard.. I'm sure David is ok with him taking $15-20 million less to sign with the Clippers , haha... Hello!!!

So this is EB's shot at making his biggest payday and he has to take about $20Mil less for Baron to sign with a team that is a borderline playoff team? I'm certain David falk is looking the other way while his client signs for around $20 Mil less. EB is a fool if he walks aay from that much money, especially afetr coming off achilles surgery. He can't pick up the endorsements to make up for it as this is BDiddy's team now. The entire thing is a mess. you'll see in the next week. EB is the loser in this if he doesnt take the Warriors offer

  Dude, loyalty and business is a two way street and often the lines are blurred. I believe Baron genuinely wanted to make something happen with the Warriors. But, we don't know what happen behind those close doors. Often a company will only bring up the word loyalty at their convenience. When they want to screw you over and convince you that you like it. Then will turn around and call it business, when they shop and trade your butt. To free up cap space, for two years from now. I like BoomDizzle's game. I can care less what team he plays for. I say be happy and don't be nobody's fool..... Business is business. You can show me love , by the way you pay me.

    im not mad he made the decision he made, im mad at the way he made it. yes i know its a business, but dont go and say your going to do something to all your loyal fans that your not going to do. besides, he didnt even want to hear anything the warriors had to say by how fast he made an agreement with the clips. if it was really a business decision then he would have atleast entertained more offers. but as you mentioned, we dont know what happens behind closed doors did they make him an offer? was there an under the table offer to go home? what was he thinking after the season ended? did he already know he was leaving the bay? we dont know and never will. all we know is that he left without a 2nd thought and left the W's hanging.

I gotta say, the Dubs made a big mistake not offering BD a multiyear contract. There is no replacement for the excitement he brought these past couple years. Heck, I saw 12 games in person this year, and some of them were the most exciting that I've ever seen. Comebacks from 30 point deficits, wins over championship contenders and so on. That being said, BD might not be worth a 5-year contract. Injury prone, 40% shooter. When BD is forcing his shot, he builds a brick house. Then again, Gilbert Arenas sure as hell ain't worth $100 mil over 5 either.

  Of all the heartfelt and misinformed attempts to make sense of Baron's decision; yours says like it is. Let the Clippers make the boneheaded decision to take Davis. He lucked out playing a whole season uninjured, and the Warriors did well not risking their future on his shaky health history. While many people fell in love with Davis because of his flair for the dramatic, most gave him a free pass on his weak free throw shooting (timely misses!), clanking 3 pointer after 3 pointer off NBA rims, and his turn around fade away (I'm not Jordan) jumper. Serious observers of the game know what I'm talking about. This isn't about LOVE nor HATE, as Baron has just showed us it's about taking care of yourself and business; therefore, my assessment is the Warriors made an excellent decision not keeping Davis!

    time will tell. but don't be surprised when the warriors are not a playoff contender for at least a year or two, maybe longer. you can point out flaws on anyone but bottom line is he was the heart of the best the warriors have had to offer in years. if you want to really look at history look at what the warriors have done under the cohan regime. if that gives you confidence that they're heading down the right path fantastic. if your lucked out logic is accurate then the warriors have lucked out too and will be back where they have proven themselves to belong under cohan

      I never said the Dubs are better off without BD. He was the heart and soul of this team the last 3 years. The fun factor of their games is going to fall a few notches without him. I would not bet on them to make the playoffs this year unless Monta gets a 3-point shot, distributes better and some of their other players like Azibuke and Wright develop fast.

      Why is it that people use regime to describe something they don't like when in fact it's the ownership of Cohan? Regime seems to always be equated to something terrible? A little history lesson: Dan Finnane & Jim Fitzgerald hood winked Cohan into nearly sueing them in order to honor a verbal agreement to sell Cohan the GSW. So, as far as committment, Cohan has shown the Warriors his loyalty; not only investing tons of dollars, and losing plenty, too; but, trying to make the Warriors better even as he was handed the Chris Webber fiasco. Heart? Oh, do you mean when the Warriors started 1-6 with Baron playing every game? Heart is Stephen Jackson. I don't need to recount what happened when Jackson returned. Even everyone's heart & soul (Davis) couldn't lift the Warriors out of a 1-6 start, and essentially a playoff hole they would never dig out of the entire season.

I'm going to miss Baron and definitely feel like he made the best business decision for himself. Any anger I have is with the Warriors. They really have poor business practices, as they have proved year after year. They should have been prepared with contingency plans in case Baron opted out and its ridiculous to offer EB a better offer than they made Baron. EB is about the same age and is coming off a serious injury. Why would they make such a huge offer?! We need a point guard, not a forward. They should have given Baron a counter-offer or scrapped the whole thing and prepared to re-build a young team. I am really gonna miss Baron!

On Friday, he was on KNBR saying how he was excited to come back and finish off his contract out of "loyalty"...take B's word with a grain of salt i guess.

Anyways Warrior fans (true Warrior fans), keep ya heads up, I'm sure Nellie and Mully have somethin up their sleeve, if not this is gonna be a developmental year for our young guns, and we're gonna have $20 mil for the 2009 free agents (thats worst case scenario).

If he doesn't want to be here, then its best he go, lets focus on rebuilding our team, a team with a rejuvenated fan base and style of basketball. What most people don't understand is the "run and gun" style of basketball that has been so successful, especially for Baron only works with the proper pieces in place (i.e. Nellie, Jax, Monta, Biedrins, etc). It doesn't work when you have a half-court offense (Dunleavy). Also, Baron excelled because the floor was spaced by excellent perimeter shooters and threats...The Clippers have Mobley (hardly a legit 3 point threat), Al Thorton (can't shoot), Chris Kaman (too slow), and Shuan (who is lucky to be walking if anything)...hardly comparable to the Warriors shooting ability and offensive talent. But, should be interesting to see what develops...

Notice I didn't mention Elton Brand, thats because hes pondering a $100 mil 5 year deal...theres a guy who wants a ring on his finger...make the right choice EB, and come to the Bay Area, we're young, we're coached well, we're loyal (unless you dick us over). Mad respect.

Elton Brand has been saying all along he has every intention of staying in LA and opted out in order to give the Clippers payroll flexibility. Just like J-Rich is a "forever Warrior" I feel the same about you. I am still shocked and devastated that you are actually gone. I'm not mad at your decision but I am disappointed in how you continuously said you wanted to be in the Bay and love the Warriors fans, yet immediately after the trade exception expires you go and agree with the Clippers. You knew what you were going to do even before the draft and that is how you screwed us over. And just know that you won't get the same love that J-Rich gets when he comes back to Oakland. We supported you from day one when NO OTHER TEAM would. I do thank you for the 2 1/2 years you played here and the playoff run was great. But 2 1/2 years doesn't make you a "Warrior For Life". Have fun playing second fiddle to the Lakers.
And you Clipper fans - Don Nelson said for 2 years the team MVP was BD. He always defended him, always gave him chances. But for whatever reason he held him out of the entire 2nd half vs. the Suns last year when making a playoff chase. Good luck with the baggage. Nelson is more of a player's coach than Dunleavy ever will be. No way Dunleavy coaches BD. It will be ugly.

      baron hasn't played a whole season since the 01-02 season. His knee is pretty messed up. Except for 3 years, Brand has played over 70 games every season. Treatment for a ruptured achilles generally very effective. Also signing or at least offering is just a big EFF U from the GSW to the Clipps. If they want to sign both Baron and Brand. They are going to have to go over luxury tax now unless Brand is willing to take 20 million dollars less from the Clipps or whatever they up their offer to. Most people would probably take the 20 mill unless you are truly loyal to an organization like Baron never will be (Hornets, Dubs). Baron is a punk. Sign and trade and fuggen steal one of their players

There is absolutely no problem with taking less money so you can be near family.
I would normally commend this choice.

HOWEVER, the way you chose to do it was very classless.
Waiting until the last minute to opt out, after the draft had already passed and the mid-level trade exception had expired all while assuring nellie and mully that you were not going to opt out is pure garbage.

I went to UCLA with you and love the Warriors. I would have continued to root for you even if you went to our biggest rivals. But you make it so hard the way you went about things.
I feel more betrayed than anything. In many ways, the way this situation has unfolded is a million times worse than the Webber situation.

I don't understand Baron!? The city is hanging their heads low because how fast you jumped on LA. I"d thought I'd never say this but you quit on us man! saying you loved it in the bay area is BS to us now (im sorry to say that its true) You gave life to our city and now, you took it away.

we understand your reasons for leaving- family, home, film career, a guaranteed 65 mil... i think it's safe to say that most of us would agree that those are all good reasons for leaving. but like what a couple of people have already mentioned, it's how you did it that makes the fans feel like sh*t. don't tell us that you aren't going to opt out, the bay is home, and the fans mean so much to you and then turn around and say how you couldn't be happier as a clipper. you are hollywood-hella fake.

Lastly, if you had felt "soooooooo grateful" to The Warriors and The Bay for salvaging a career that was on the rocks, you would have at least allowed The Wariors to trade you for something in return. I remember seeing a feature done on you at x-mas time with The Warriors and you talked about creating a list of things that you wanted your friends to give you. I thought it was odd that you would do that, especially when the items that you wanted you could easily purchase on your salary. When you come back to the Bay to play the dubs there's no way that I can possibly boo you....why should I? What kind of lesson could Baron really have taught? He "could" have chosen a course of action that was about completion, loyalty, the manifestation of excellence and pride in finishing what one starts. Instead, he "opted out" for low hanging fruit, while turning his back on a job that would have taken "committment" to finish. Moral of the story; "he quit."

For a team to bring you in and help boost your career, then opt out AFTER the draft and AFTER Nellie said he's going to come back partially for Baron, its like a kick in the face. I understand you want to win, but maybe you should have reconsidered the potential with the Warriors. You saw it in 2007. You know, you might be right. I'm just offering up my perspective. We all have to follow our inner dictates, sometimes at great peril to our reputation and the world will not be as supportive as we would like it. This is in a larger degree what the message of Jesus is based upon. That said, Davis has not demonstrated to me any quality that even remotely resembles a form of mastery. When Byron Scott tried to reign him in for the betterment of the team, he pouted and management chose Scott over Davis. Their reward? Chris Paul who is more than willing to carry out Scott's gameplan to perfection.

Davis quit on Monty, feigning injury or at the very least, not playing through pain. Management chose Davis over Monty and even thouugh I didn't agree with his metod, they made the right choice because Monty was not fit for the pro game.

Then Nelson sits him and voila, he's gone again.

There's a pattern here and one that reflects someone that runs from challenges and chafes when he is given direction.

If Davis had acheived a level of mastery in GS, which included getting out of the first round of the playoffs, I'd look at his choice as being the outgrowth of having dug deep and extracted everything he could from himself and the situation, but in many cases when I watched him get owned by Chris Paul, Brandon Roy and Deron Williams, he shut it down, fouled out and sulked.

Just my feeling, but I think he's doing the same here.

Mission unaccomplished.

You had a hell of a year last year, 82 games, contract year, ring a bell?Your first 82 game season since 01-02. Im pretty pissed that you left but really I dont blame you. Chances are you will play 60 games next season and that would have been like us throwing away 17.8 million. You brought bay area basketball back and I love you for that. But 5 years is a bit too long to invest in a point guard that has leg problems and skips multiple games at a time, that wouldnt be a good move by management. sucks about the 10 mill trade exception, thats where you truely fucked us. Your move royally screwed the Dubs out of the trade exception. You know nothing of loyalty you spoke of on KNBR and have no business in the Bay Area. It's one thing to opt out, we can handle that. If you had insisted all along that you would opt out, or if you didn't flat out state that you wouldn't opt out, then we would have wished you good luck in LA. But it's a completely different thing to wait till after the draft, after the trade exception expires, after the Warriors can do ANYTHING to prepare for your departure...and THEN insist that you're leaving. I expected better from you, Baron, and I've lost all respect for you. I know this is a business, and you had a legal right to do what you did. But even businesses have ethical codes, and you violated every code in the book. Lying to the media and the fans is fine (I'll admit, I'd still be mad, but whatever). But to lie to your own teammates and front office, that's just classless. A few people still love you in the Bay, but I'm almost positive that you'll be showered with mostly boos when you return to Oracle next year. Have fun making your movies, believe me, no one will watch them. Have fun ballin' it with Brand, you'll have fun until one of you gets injured by the All-Star break. At which point, we'll see you at the draft lottery.
And by the way, if Brand DOES return to the Clips...you should learn a lesson from him. Loyalty > $$$. And if he doesn't come back, karma's a boomerang, buddy.

wanna let all u haters know that i was never a bandwagon fan... i didnt know who the warriors were til the pre-season games came in september, and i found out about the warriors because i met one of the dancers @ the old gym i used to work at. and i started talking to her and what she did and she told me she danced for the warriors, and i told her my brother was a huge fan of the warriors (saw him wearing a tshirt with the warriors on them on facebook in august and remembered)
so she told me how i could get free pre-season tickets.
i went to my first ever basketball game with 3 friends.
i was in awe. the minute i saw the court, the players, the ppl i fell inlove. and most importantly i fell in love with the team. The team who i believed i had a connection with. Who had conviction and drive, just like i did when i swam. Who loved the feeling of hard work after a tiring workout, who had the passion in their eyes for basketball.. especially Baron along with all of their outside work.
Considering the location of the team, they have done nothing but do good deeds for the bay to keep us going strong and not giving up on the things that keep us happy in life especially for the younger kids in troubled neighborhoods.
iI love my warriors, i love baron, they changed my life in so many ways im not even gonna START to tell u ppl cuz it wont do a damn thing to ur ungrateful minds.
You cant find happiness in everything but when u do find it, it means everything. and i found the warriors which made happier than iv ever been.
If baron is happiest in his home town, then who are we to take that away from him. Money aint gonna make no body happy... maybe for a while, and get u whatever u want if u have enough of it.. but money cant buy u happiness, thats why baron went back home.. cuz maybe hes happy out here and he loves it... but hes not the happiest out here.. money is just something u have something u need to help you get by in life. its not gonna make u happy.

I have mixed emotions about you Baron. I know Im gonna miss watchin you in a Warriors uniform. I have been a die hard warrior fan since the day of birth and I must admit that you probably gave me the best warrior moment memories. You're a great player and can be the most dominant when you want to be and I still believe in you. I know I have been talkin sh*t about you in other comments but I was devastated at the time. I now realize that Chris Mullin didnt do his job in gettin you to come back cause if they can offer Arenas and Brand that much money then they could've offered you your 65 Million. At least have the decency to tell us that you were going to opt out so we could use the TPE or draft differently. He had an under-the-table deal with the clips. Hope Brand signs with the Dubs so you can team up with the unstoppable Kaman. You hurt every organization you have joined. Im just glad Hornets are coming up again.

I'm a die-hard, lifetime, Ws fan. Baron did what he had to do. Mgmt was not offering him the long term deal that he earned, and the Clips were. It sucks that he's leaving, but you shouldn't be mad a BD. He got us back to the playoffs and gave us some great moments. Good luck to him. Except when he plays the Ws. I know I'll be one of the ones cheering for him when he returns. We're in better shape now than when he arrived, so show a little respect and gratitude to the man.

I am goin to try to be as impartial as possible, which is tough cuz i've been bd's fan ever since he was at ucla and a warriors fan for as long as i can remember. obviously, i go to ucla and live in the bay...

anyways, i don't understand how any of you feel betrayed by baron. if you're a true fan, you would've seen this coming since the early end to our season. The warriors don't own b.d. Imagine rebounding from a potentially career ending injury, consistently playing at an all-star level (without getting any all star recognition from the league's money loving ...), reviving the warriors franchise, and putting on one the most solid and the most exciting pg performances in recent NBA memory. Not too mention showing young players like biedrins and monta the demands and expectations of a star in this league. But despite all of this, you'd still be doubted that you had much more in you.

i genuinely believe that baron did want to stay on the warriors, why wouldn't he? With him plus cash they got a great future. But warriors execs (mullin) just couln't trust him to keep it up. They couldn't see him in their fairy tale, excuse me for thinking so, future of wright, randolph, biedrins, and monta. Would you play for a team that would wanna bounce you in 2009 or underpay you for a measly 2 seasons, then be stuck having to find a new joke contract with a new team that doesn't really respect you as a finish to an amazing nba career?

No, you go to a team that you could make an impact on now while you're playing at your fullest potential, be loved, and continue to be loved. He'll probably finish his career with the clippers, too.

Remember j. rich's 42 point game versus the dubs with only 7 of those pts being free throws? I saw a jaded player who still wanted to play for his team. i just hope baron doesn't surpass that performance for the warriors' sake.

-also this wasn't unbiased at all, in fact it was extremely subjective. sorry, couldn't help it.
-----and baron i hope you have an excellent, healthy, and long career with the clippers....seriously eff all you ***holes who said something to the effect "i hope your injuries get worse and you never play a full season again"...have some respect, this a real person, not just an icon.

amhd, just like it's not Baron's responsibility to stay if it's not in his best interests, it's not the Ws responsibility to wager the future of a young team in order to show some "respect" for Baron. The Ws took a bit of a chance when they brought him here and maybe they are done pushing their luck. Who knows, maybe he does have 5 more great years in him but it would be a shame to be tied to a long-term contract if he's done after 2 and be mired in mediocrity with no possibility of signing a player who can take them to the next level (probably a big forward).

Baron was compensated for the time he spent with the Ws, he doesn't need to be compensated into the future for his past accomplishments if he is not on the Ws priority list. Management and athletes alike have encouraged treating sports as business making loyalty a distant memory. Certainly the Ws wanted it both ways and were hoping that Baron wouldn't walk away from 18m, however, if the alternative was a 5-year contract I bet they see this as their 2nd best option.

I agree that no one should be wishing injury on anyone but I can't say I blame the Ws for rolling the dice to try to get farther than the second round.

Warriors fan of many, many years. Very disappointed to see Mr. Davis leaving the Bay. Welcomed my first baby into the world during last season and (thanks to family leave) got to watch every game. What a treat to see the Warriors play so well. I was truly looking forward to next season. Now I am left with questions. Have all the loyalties in sports dissolved? If a player loves an area and fans so much, wouldn't the player stay in the area and play? Is $17.9 not enough?
I was angry when Mr. Davis was snubbed by the "all star" voters as well as the olympic selection committee.
Clippers fans will enjoy Mr. Davis' strength and fearless play inside. They will also enjoy how he makes other players on the floor that much better. Warriors fans (this one included) are left scratching their heads.
If Mr. Davis happens to read this post, I hope he understands that he has let me (and many bay area fans) down. Life goes on. Enjoy.

Now with the extra cap room, who do you think the Warriors should get to make it back to the playoffs and past the 2nd rd? I'm thinking Josh Smith would give the kind of presence in the paint the Warriors have been missing. hey BD, here's an italian warriors fan (since I was 15). It's sad you left the bay, it was so exciting to have you (my fav player) and Belinelli playing for GSW. Let's see what Marco is going to do next season...
Anyhow, much respect for you and your decisions. Too bad that Brand left for the sixers but with you the Clippers still seem a good team and they still have money to meke some other move.
But now it's up on you Baron, you have to play your best basketball next season and I'm sure you will.

I'm still reeling in pain on your decision. It was truly a sad day for me... well not as sad as when J.Rich was handed off last season, but still sad and it left me feeling kind of upset at your decision. Money or Loyalty... it's nice to know what you really stand for... J.Rich didn't have a choice, you did.

I'll hold back what I really think of you dicision as its not pretty.

Again bad management on the part of my Golden State Warriors leaves us losing the best Point Gaurd in the league. But no hard feelings I was a fan of you in you Ucla days so I'm not gonna stop now. Wish you the best boom and who knows maybe we'll get to match up in playoffs. I know the Warriors will drop completly out of the playoff picture. But hey, wishful thinking ya dig.
