Back in the Mix...

Yessirr!!! Boom back in the Yard after a little bit of a layoff!!! 1st off I want to thank you guys for all the support and prayers that have been going out to my lil' bro Troy, we really appreciate it as he fights to get back. Man have things been busy! I just got back from spending a week in the bay for camp... yup CAMP in the BAY!!! Rising Stars of America aka RSOA aka Boom hoops with the Kids!!!... Camp is always fun for me because it gives me a chance to spend time with the people that remind me what this game is all about... THE KIDS!!! YA DIGG!!! To everyone that came out and participated... TWO CLAPS!!!. Campers came from all over the bay and beyond to attend Oakland, Frisco, Redmond, Pebble Beach, Walnut Creek and... wait for it... wait for it... JAPAN!!! now thats LOVE!!! 11hr flight to hoop with ya boy LOL!!! Thank you to all the coaches that came out to help, Merritt College for letting us take over the facilities and giving us a place to do our thing, Coach Roper for hobbling around with his admin crew to make sure camp ran smoothly, Symantec for bringing the Hulk truck and teaching the kids to browse the web safely, Powerade for keeping the kids hydrated through out the week, Reebok for outfitting the kids with gear and doing give aways all week and last but not least my surprise guest and new GSWarrior Corey Maggette for taking the time out to come share some knowledge with us... Wow that was a lot! The folks from the Yard came through and shot some video of camp, make sure you check it out. Also make sure you check out the footage of me running loose through the Oakland Boys and Girls Club... I told you, you would be on TV LOL!!! Boom Loves the Kids!!! BTW...   that camp sounds hella fun! i've been tryin 2 find bball camps so i can get in shape nd ready 4 high skool ball in the bay area.
  that vid was hella funny, i liked the part when ya were pushin nash on the swings

  i got really teary eyed in the first video, when they announced that baron came, n all the kids went crazy,, and then @ the end @ like 3:20 when he says that part of him not wanting to leave was cuz of the kids. man i juss wanted to let out the niagra falls.

  Boom Dizzle! real nice, the kids love that kinda interaction, AND its making me get back into community service (and not cause i have to anymore!), boom, you a role model to the kids, and to everybody else watchin, hopefully itll influence more adults to get in the picture and help out!

  That spoof with you and Steve Nash ruled! Man, the LA Clippers are only going to get BETTER and BETTER after next year. I think this upcoming season is more trial and error. I'm content we get 42+ wins and we surprise some folks. But wait until 2010, baby! Tell your new homeboy Nash to come be you backup PG and let him take the minimum. I don't see him going to the Lakers. He'll be like 36 and you will only be like 31. Maybe Amare or Dirk (Kaman's new homey) will follow. Imagine Baron, Nash, Amare, Kaman, and Thornton on the same team? I can see you tasting championship champagne in three years!
